Injuries happen in Yoga way to often from not being properly taught the correct pose and pushing yourself to compete with those around you. There are hundreds of variations and hybrids of yoga that have found their way into studios and gyms around the world. As a beginner or even seasoned practitioner, you want the proper foundation to build your practice on. At Shamatha Yoga we pride ourselves on giving you the fundamentals so you can grow and deepen your practice.
We've seen Yoga change people lives mentally, physically and emotionally. This is your time! Our six-week beginner session begins on Wednesday Sept 9th at 9:30am or 7:00pm. Throughout the session you will learn yoga basics with step-by-step yoga pose instructions and yoga fundamentals.
Our Classes Will be INSTRUCTED by CHRIS Blanks
Principle and Director of Shamatha Yoga Studio. Chris has 25 years of experience and 13 certifications in several disciplines, among them are Kripalu Yoga, Ashtanga (David Swenson), Vinyasa Flow (Shiva Rea, Rodney Yee), Viniyasa (T.K.V. Desikachar), Power Yoga (Baron Baptist, Rodney Yee), with additional certifications from The Yoga Institute of Houston. She has studied cronic disease/yoga with Dr. Herbert Benson at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Boston. Chris is also a Reiki and Sadja Energy Healer. Her compassion and humor helped to create a spirited, warm and relaxed atmosphere.
